The femoral nails are indicated for fractures of the proximal, middle and distal third of the femoral shaft as well as severely comminuted, spiral and segmental fractures. The nails may also be used in treatment of nonunion, malunion and the bone lengthening or shortening.The nails may also be used in treatment of nonunion, malunion and the bone lengthening or shortening.

Stable fracture of the isthmus (transverse and short oblique noncomminuted) may be treated without locking screws.

The Femoral Nail are available in diameter of 9, 10, 11, 12 & 13 mm and in length of 34, 36, 38, 40 & 42 cm.
